Is a good place to be on a Sunday morning. Today there are more than 400 churches in Harlem. Among the most famous one is the majestic Abyssinian Baptist church. It was the first church in New York state because it was built more than 200 years ago.

Jazz music and street art

by Brandan "B Mike" Odums and Marthalicia Matarrita, 229 W1135th St

while you walk aroung the neighbourhood, I recommend a mural that represents the jazz musician called  Dizzie Gillespies, an iconic trumpet player who is considered as the founder of be-bop jazz.

It was painted by two different painters to celebrate his 100th anniversary and pay tribute to the jazz musician who played an important role in the evolution of the Afro-American music.
