The Puerto Rican festival


 

Located in East Harlem on 116th Street, "the Puerto Rican festival" is the largest Latin festival in New York, it started in 1985. This festival celebrates Puerto Rican traditions and culture. Indeed, Hundreds of people from Harlem and beyond come back every year very joyful celebration. During this festival, you will be able to taste delicious Puerto Rican food, listen to traditional music and dance.

Since 1958, every second Sunday in June, no less than 2 to 3 million people march on 5th Avenue in Manhattan to honor the people of the Puerto Rico. Indeed, it is the largest demonstration of cultural pride in the nation. That's why, Miss Puerto Rico usually comes to represent her country and people.
